Albert Einstein Was Correct About Technology

An email about a quote by Albert Einstein has gone viral, generating much discussion online.  This is the quote that was supposed to be attributed to Einstein:  “I fear the day when the technology overlaps with our humanity. The world will only have a generation of idiots.”

The email contains these photos that offer proof that Einstein was right about his fear of the growth of technology and its social effect on the human race.

I cannot find any evidence whatsoever that Einstein had uttered that quote. But that is hardly surprising for Alexander Graham Bell had noted: “Confirming the authenticity of quotations on the Internet is next to impossible.”
