Asia Food Festival At Coco Cabana in Miri

The Asia Food Festival and a mini arts festival commenced today at Coco Cabana in Marina Bay and will end on April 23. In case you are wondering where is Coco Cabana, it is formerly known as the Marina Bay Seafood Restaurant where the seahorse lighthouse is located.

The Asia Food Festival hosts over 40 stalls, manned by chefs and culinary masters from across the region.  It features delicacies rarely found locally such as those from Thailand, Taiwan, China and Korea. Walking from stalls to stalls, I saw quite a wide variety of food ranging from crispy crabs, fried chicken chops, fried squids, Taiwan squid with rice, smelly tofu, Taiwan sausages, duck meat, mango juice, Korean Taiyaki, Thai fruit ice rolls and lots more.

Coco Cabana is a new branding that symbolises the will to create something new. It is a place for creativity, exhibitions, family gatherings and more. It marks the revival of the former premises of the Marina Bay Seafood Restaurant.

The location was once popular due to the seahorse lighthouse, lovely sea views,  magnificent sunsets and the antique Parisian-style architecture of the building that used to house the restaurant. I love the site and took plenty of photos.
