Laughter

Laughter

Laughter

Laughter is like a breath of fresh air,

Keeping our worries at bay,

It’s an instant vacation,

Helping us cope with our emotion.

A day without laughter is a day that goes to waste,

Laughter adds joy and zest,

Seven days without laughter makes one weak,

So carry laughter with you throughout the week.

A hearty laugh gives us a dry cleaning,

Laughter is akin to inner jogging,

A smile is a curve that sets everything straight,

It smoothens things and makes our days great.

Laughter is the only cure for grief,

A cheap medicine that brings instant relief,

It’s the surcease for pain,

Through difficult difficult situations it keeps us sane.

Laugh at our own imperfections,

Laughter will never reach depletion,

Incorporate humour and laughter into the fabric of our life,

Let the sound of laughter runs rife.

Laughter triggers the release of endorphins,

Which act like a mild form of morphine,

The release sets off a cascade of heart-healthy biological events,

Stress and pain it helps to prevent.

Laughter is an orgasm triggered by the intercourse of sense and nonsense,

It’s like a tranquiliser in essence,

It recharges our batteries,

And help sooth our arteries.

Laughter is the most reliable gauge of human nature,

It casts over us a sense of rapture,

It ignites a fire within the pits of our bellies,

It’s a valve releasing tension to make us happy.

Laughter is the brush that sweeps away the cobwebs in our hearts,

Our emotions it hugs,

It is the sun that drives winter from the human face,

Restoring warmth and compassion in God’s grace.

Laughing is like giving yourself an internal rub,

Akin to a relaxing bathe in a bathe tub,

It’s a powerful antidote for stress, pain and conflict,

Easing the burdens that life may inflict.
