Malaysian Singer Shila Amzah Wins Asian Wave 2012 With Her Rendition Of “征服”

Against all odds, Malaysian Singer Shila Amzah has won the Asian Wave 2012 (声动亚洲 2012) with her rendition of  “征服” last night in Shanghai, beating singers from many Asian countries including Japan, Korea, China and Thailand.

30 singers competed in the early phrase of the competition, with only 12 participants making it to the final held last night.

The early rounds was held from 31 August to 6 September. In the first round, Shila Amzah sang Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain” and in round two, she impressed the judges with 王力宏 Lee Hom’s Chinese song “Forever Love.” Shila has spent one month to master  Forever Love.
