Kill Shot By Vince Flynn

Kill Shot by Vince Flynn is a spy thriller featuring the cold-blooded CIA killer, Mitch Rapp.  It is a frenzy of action from the start and Rapp kills with impunity the bad guys who cross his path.

Mitch Rapp has been turned loose by his CIA handlers to kill targets in a highly classified hit list in the war against radical terrorism. He has done such a great job that he himself becomes a top priority on his enemies’ hit list but they have no idea who he is.

Rapp is in Paris with his sight set on the Libyan oil minister. This looks like a simple job as intelligence has revealed that the minister is without bodyguards. Things go smoothly initially but moments after he has assassinated the minister in his hotel room, all hell breaks loose. He is ambushed by a gang of four terrorists who spray the hotel room with hundreds of bullets killing the prostitute who is with the oil minister. Rapp kills three of them and while escaping from the hotel room, he is shot in his shoulder by the fourth terrorist. The fourth terrorist in his bid to escape shoots dead three civilians and a member of the French intelligence as well seriously injuring another French inteligence guy.

Angry and wounded, he knows that someone has set him up.  He vanishes in Paris and begins to investigate. Meanwhile in USA , Rapp’s handlers are wondering why he has created such a mess of what is supposed to be a clean hit. Since he has disappeared, he has become a liability and his employer is starting to turn against him. They wonder  if he has gone  rogue. The blame for the carnage in Paris falls upon Rapp’s shoulders.

On the run from law enforcement personnel, terrorists and his own employer, Rapp needs to clear his name and seek revenge against those who have betrayed him. This seems to present overwhelming odds but we know we can count on Rapp to unravel everything.
