Wayne Rooney Hails Malaysian Devils Fan As A Legend

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has hailed the Malaysian Manchester United fan who wore the Red Devils jersey to a Liverpool training session on Thursday at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur a “legend”.

Rooney took to Twitter last night to praise the young man, saying “The lad who went to watch Liverpool train in MUFC top with my name on the back is a legend.”

The young MU fan was jeered by thousands of Liverpool supporters after he turned up to see their team train in his Wayne Rooney top.

Liverpool fans jeers at the Manchester United fan.

He resisted attempts to strip him, but his jersey was eventually lifted off in front of a crowd yelling “Buka! Buka!” (“Take it off!”).

A Liverpool supporter tries to remove the jersey that the Manchester United supporter was wearing.

He refused to put on the Liverpool jersey, even as it was forcibly put over his head, and sat stone-faced and shirtless for a moment before he was led away from the jeering fans.

Another Liverpool supporter drapes a Liverpool jersey on him as other fans get heated up at the scene.

It is true that the Manchester United fan pushed his luck a little too far but I admire his guts. Watch the video of the incident.
