Bon Voyage Son

Today is the day. Today is the day you are finally leaving Singapore to start a new life in Australia.

We are amazed at how far you’ve come. We can still recall holding you in our arms as a baby, and now you’re moving to Australia with Amanda to pursue your dreams and goals. We’ll miss the both of you terribly and we are so proud of you both. Though the miles may come between us, you two will always be in our hearts.

We admire your guts to relinquish a high flying job in Singapore to move to Australia to start all over from scratch. Your self-confidence is comforting and we are not worried as you have always been an achiever.

The best thing about moving to a different country is that you will make new friends, see new sights, learn new things, have new adventures, and achieve new heights.  We know how much you and Amanda love travelling and adventures and Australia is so big that it offers you two vast opportunities for more adventures. We have always been amazed by your adventurous pursuits during your travels, like camping in frigid weather in remote snow-covered mountain areas in Tromsø, Norway, just to watch the Northern lights, and go-karting dressed in Pikachu and Mario costumes on the roads in Tokyo.

We love you dearly and wish that we could hold on tight to you forever. We are happy that you are going to Australia to pursue your dreams, but we are also sad because you will be living so far away from us. We hope you will achieve whatever you are looking for in life and that you will live life to the fullest.

Farewell and bon voyage, we will miss you and Amanda greatly. We wish you two all the best in the new phase of your life and look forward to see you two in Australia in the not-too-distant future.

With lots of love,

Mom and Dad
