The Seeker Cafe & Bistro Miri

It is strange but I have not heard of The Seeker Cafe & Bistro in Miri though the restaurant has been in business for over one and a half years and has been receiving good reviews. It was only a couple of days ago that my sister-in-law Angela Ngieng told us about it.

Last night we had our dinner there together with Angela Ngieng, her daughter Emily Chieng and the family of his son Edward Chieng. There were nine of us including Edward’s daughters Edlyn and Emma.

The place was packed last night. I heard business is brisk even on weekdays. The staff were friendly and the ambience was good.

We ordered 2 Takoyaki pizzas, 2 chicken chops, 3 pieces of chicken wings, 1 coleslaw, 1 fish & chips, 1 Seeker salad, 4 lemon honey, 2 lemonade tea, 1 Sprite and 1 chocolate shake.

The Takoyaki pizza costs RM33 each but it was quite a big pizza. I like it as it was quite tasty and the texture was not bad. The coleslaw was not bad though a tad too sweet. The chicken wings was recommended by Angela but I find it rather average. My son Leslie liked his chicken chop. I did not try the Seeker salad so I have no comments.

We should have ordered their famous fruit pizza and breadbowl with pumpkin soup but I guess there is always a next time.

We had a good time and the presence of Edlyn and Emma added a lot of fun to the evening.

Our bill came up to RM182.40 which is quite reasonable for a dinner for 7 adults and 2 kids.  We will be back again in the near future to try their other dishes.

In case you don’t know where the restaurant is, it is situated on the ground floor of Sub-lot 2296, Pujut 5, Miri-Pujut Road.  They are closed on Monday so take note.
